What a thrill it is that you are here, reading this page, exploring your options for officiants for your wedding or (re)commitment ceremony. Whether I’m the right fit for you or not, I’m happy that you have found someone to hold your heart. The world is better for it, I have no doubt.
I might be the wedding chaplain for you if you are looking for an officiant who not only loves love, but also celebrates inclusivity, diversity, and magic. I’m apt to create the kind of sacred space that hinges on things like fireflies or, more relevantly, the small beautiful moments of connection which brought you lovebirds together. Think, “less scripture, more spirit.” Less, “religion,” more “wonder.”
As an actress and writer, I also bring an extra bit of juju for holding space and shaping a meaningful event from start to finish, including helping folks who want to craft a ceremony or ritual from scratch or might need a hand writing those bespoke vows everyone is so crazy about these days.

Your story is special & I want to hear it.
One of my favorite parts of any wedding or (re)commitment ceremony is the love story behind it. As an officiant or mistress of ceremony, it’s important to hear about your unique story and what fuels your relationship. Without knowing what motivates your commitment to each other, I won’t know if I can hold space open-heartedly, in resonance with the qualities which are sacred and important to you as individuals and as partners in life. To that end, before we decide to work together, I’d like to meet in person or over zoom, so that we can all get to know a little about one another and determine if I’m the right person to hold sacred space for your celebration.
Hand-FAsting, Jumping the Broom, or Classic “I Do”?
There are a lot of things to figure out in a modern wedding which lives, often, outside of a church and a formulaic script which has been performed for centuries. While you may have someone assisting with the many facets of the larger event, it will be my job to ensure that the ceremony itself hits all the notes and contains the elements you dream of. I can only do that by taking some time to know you better and get a full picture of the sweet expectations you have for the big day. Therefore, once we decide to work together, I would like to meet at least twice before the week of your celebration, especially if you desire a particular ritual from some far flung tribe on the other side of the planet; I will need time to do my research and plan accordingly!
So, you’re going to the chapel…or field…or barn…
…And, I’m happy to meet you there. While I live in Camden, Maine, right in the middle of the Mid-Coast Region, I will happily travel for your special day. If I can easily drive to and from your event to my front door within a reasonable span of time, there will be no extra charge. If special accommodations must be made, airline tickets, hotels, rental cars, etc. I will ask for you to cover those or help me to find alternate accommodations that suit your budget and my travel needs.
Honorarium
I know even the simplest weddings are a costly affair which is why, outside of travel expenses, I keep my honorarium at a reasonable price of $500, including the first (free) meet and greet, at least two planning meetings, additional time on my own writing, research for any specialized rituals, the rehearsal, and, of course, the ceremony itself. If you are within two hours of Camden, Maine, and $500 is still too costly for your budget, I may be able to offer a discount. Please don’t hesitate to let me know and we can discuss it.
