Web Chaplaincy for UU Churches & Interfaith Communities
Building or revising a congregational website can be surprisingly hard. There are many perspectives, deep values, and a shared desire to get it right. When everyone cares, the process can easily stall—or quietly exhaust the people carrying it.
I serve as a steady presence in that space.
I’m an ordained interfaith chaplain with years of experience supporting communities online and in person. I’m currently the web chaplain for a UU church in Maine, working remotely, and I’ve also collaborated with other interfaith organizations. I bring care, structure, and clarity the website process, helping congregations create and joyfully maintain Squarespace websites that reflect who they truly are: their theology, their welcome, their rhythms of care, and their lived commitments.
“Morgan has been an invaluable partner for our small UU Church. She helped us create a website that truly tells our story and amplifies our message of inclusion, love and joy! With her support, we have evolved our web presence to a professional clear message and integrated our communications so that all flows in a smooth seamless way. She treats her work as ministry and it truly is! She has been able to work with all of our folks to assess our needs and propose solutions to our weekly blog posts and monthly newsletters that reduces workload and presents a clear picture of who we are. She has patience and personal skills so beautifully suited to working with church volunteers of all ages! She is a delight to work with and I feel so lucky to have her on our team!”

What is a Web Chaplain?
My role is both practical and pastoral. I help communities listen to themselves, clarify what they want to communicate, and make thoughtful decisions without burning out volunteers or staff. I translate big, heart-centered values into clear, usable language—and keep the process moving with kindness, structure, and respect for process.
After the site launch, your congregation can decide how much ongoing support makes sense for you: maintaining the calendar, preparing and sending newsletters, or adding optional social media support as a thoughtful extension of congregational life rather than an extra burden. Each option is tailored to what will best serve your community and its rhythm.
This work is especially helpful for congregations navigating growth, transition, or renewal—or for communities that want their online presence to reflect their values as fully as their in-person life.
This is pastoral work as much as technical work.
If your congregation is ready for a website that reflects its heart and supports its mission, I’d be honored to help you shape it—remotely, alongside your community.
